Maria DaLuz De Brito, 88, passed into eternity on Friday, December 28, 2018. Born on the Island of Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Carlos Gomes, and Eugenia DeBrito Lisboa. She was a loving wife to the late, Raimundo Jose DeBrito and sister to the late, Ana Inacia Lisboa. She is survived by her two sons, Jose C DeBrito of Pawtucket, and Carlos J. DeBrito of Florida ,and two daughters, Maria Monte Roberts of Hawaii and Maria Cristina Stephens of Georgia, and two step-daughters Maria DeOliveira and Antonia Lopes, a brother, Antonio J. Gomes, a sister Maria Eugenia Xavier, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Maria worked in the Jewelry Industry for many years
Funeral Services for Maria DaLuz DeBrito will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from the Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope Street, Providence R.I.at 10:00am with Interment Services at the Rumford Cemetery. At the request of the family everyone is asked to go directly to the Church, on the morning of the funeral. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Friday from 4 to 8PM at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, R.I. 02865..
